Microeconomics II | Curse rules
Evaluation from the course Microeconomics II
- The final grade (overall score) from the course is calculated on the basis of the formula: 0.7 · (your percentage score from the exam) + 0.3 · [0.25 · (your grade from a tutorial class) – 0.25].
- In order to pass the course, you need to obtain at least 50% of points from the exam and at least 50% of the overall score (calculated from the formula above).
- The exam from the course is in a written/online form and takes place at the end of the term.
- You must pass the tutorial class in order to be admitted to write the exam.
- The exam contains single choice questions, i.e., each with one correct answer (about 30 questions).
Evaluation from the tutorial class to the course Microeconomics II
- The grade from the tutorial class is determined by your result from a written final test (70%) and your results from other activities (30%). (Weights of the grade components are given in brackets.)
- The final test is in a written/online form and contains 10 multiple choice questions (one correct answer) and 3 problems to solve.
- Each instructor of the tutorial classes determines how the 30 percentage points for additional activities can be obtained (e.g., entry short tests, homeworks) and announces that in class at the beginning of the term.
- In order to pass the tutorial class, you need to get at least 50% in the final test and at least 50% of all points possible to get.
- The final test retake is held after the first term of the exam and before the second term of the exam.
- If you do not pass the final test in the first term, you are not allowed to write the exam in the first term. The same applies to the second term.
- Grades from the previous years cannot be transferred.

Specific rules for the tutorial class given by me
- The grade from the tutorial class is based on a final test (max 70 points) and entry short tests (max 30 points).
- The final test takes place at one term at the end of the semester for all students attending my tutorial groups (and so does the final test retake).
- An entry short test is every other class.
- An entry short test may cover any material discussed in classes and in lectures so far, with the emphasis put on the most recent classes and lectures.
- All forms of tasks in the entry short tests are possible: problems to solve, multiple choice questions, true/false questions, etc.
- Absence at an entry short test results in zero points from the entry short test.
- There is no retake of entry short tests.
- Points for entry short tests to the final grade from the tutorial class are calculated on the basis of the average score obtained in all entry short tests, excluding one entry short test with the lowest result.
